1. Leveling Tips for Beginners
In the early levels, following the main quests is the fastest way to progress. After level 30, don't neglect the biologist quests; their permanent stat bonuses make a huge difference late game. Running dungeons in a group boosts both experience and loot. Keep an eye on weekly events and EXP bonus hours to cut your leveling time dramatically.
2. Horse, Mount and Pet Systems
In Metin2, horses and pets are two separate systems. The horse provides mobility, its own quest line and special mounted combat skills. Different horses need different food; ordinary horses eat hay while battle horses prefer carrots. Pets are companions that fight at your side and provide loot bonuses, attack support or healing. Using both together lets you travel faster and farm more efficiently.
3. Classes: Warrior, Ninja, Sura and Shaman
Metin2 has four classes. The Warrior, with high defense and melee power, is ideal for beginners. The Ninja relies on speed and critical hits, fighting up close with daggers or from range with a bow. The Sura is a hybrid class that combines sword fighting with black magic. The Shaman is the backbone of any group thanks to healing and support spells. Each class has two specializations, so you can pick one to match your playstyle.
4. The Three Kingdoms and the Metin Stones
The game features three kingdoms — Shinsoo, Chunjo and Jinno — and your choice decides your allies on the server. Breaking the Metin Stones that fall onto the maps is Metin2's core farming mechanic: stones drop experience, valuable items and rare materials. In kingdom wars, all three sides clash for dominance over the server.
5. Earning Yang and Fast Leveling
Metin Stones are the most efficient source of experience. Break stones in level-appropriate zones to gain both XP and sellable items. Running a route between several stones lets you clear the others before the first respawns. To stack Yang, sell dropped items to NPCs and keep an eye on the market. After level 30, don't skip biologist quests; the permanent stat bonuses make a big difference in the late game. Staying where monsters are at most 5 levels above you gives the most balanced progress.
6. Fixing Installation and Launch Problems
For connection problems, add Metin2 to your firewall and antivirus whitelist. If the game crashes often, lower the graphics quality and close unnecessary background programs. If it persists, fully close the client and restart your computer.
